Powerlineman626 Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Hello I just bought a 2005 banshee everything stock new to the banshee world an was just wondering right when I'm done riding it do I have to turn the fuel off? I had taken it riding an when I put it back in the garage the next morning I noticed it smelled like gas so I walked over to it an sure enough was gas underneath the banshee an had seen the fuel was still on. So I turned it off an when got home back from work noticed it wasn't leaking any more. Is that common? Thanks for the help guys! Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Yep, happens a lot. You can fix it with a float adjustment. Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 You have a needle and seat or float sticking in a carb. No, they should not leak Yes you should turn the gas off when storing inside or transporting. Most people turn it off nightly just in case it might leak. Quote
Powerlineman626 Posted March 10, 2015 Author Report Posted March 10, 2015 So does it only leak when I leave the fuel switch left one? Quote
Larry's Shee Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Turning the fuel off is a good habit, no matter what. Quote
