Wow, this is coming up quite a bit lately.  How bout a shot of the upper case half on the under side?

Sorry, all ready have it back together. Didn't think much of it when it was apart. Just noticed it on the reference pic I took when changing out the trans.

Top half would be done as well. Some builders that have never experimented much and had a good running motor they worked on for a customer and they saw that, then they would assume it does something for power. They have no actual 2 stroke build and design smarts but they try to copy the best running stuff they see. The best running stuff from 15 years ago was like that so it must be good.

I assume you've got proof of this?

Or are you just talking out your ass like you normally do.

I get that the top would have the texture as well. I was more curious to see if someone who went through all that trouble would have done the transfer area properly as well.

anyways i been looking for a bone stock banshee in the local area so i have a virgin foundation to start from. mostly so i dont have to deal with chinese crankshafts and other horseshit that goes along with some 16yo goober trying to modify everything.  whats a 10mil crank normally cost and has anyone tried it with yamaha cylinders ?

Those are stock holes. All the upper cases have two holes toward the front transfer area over each bearing. The furthest one forward Goes through. The other ones are just partialy machined/cast. Pretty sure they're there to to drop lube to the bearings. The ones in that photo are completely stock minus where there was material removed to the transfer area
