ringneckryan Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Long story short I bought this engine that's way outta my league and now I gotta jet it. I have burnt down sled engines before not jetting them correctly and do NOT want a repeat of that. I ride between 2500 and 3000 ft. 65.5mm bore. Stock stroke. 17cc domes. Numera cast pistons hi comp. Aggressive trail port. I think the reeds are stock. FMF SST pipes and I run 100LL av gas. I am wanting to run my stock Keihin carbs. Quote
Zillaguy Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Are you wanting to run stock carbs or kehins? On stock carbs (Mikuni 26mm) I'd say start 350 mains 30 pilots and fine tune from there doing a couple plug chops/reads until it's perfect.... Rule of thumb start fat and lean out from there if needed.... On stock carbs you'll probably end up at a 330 main and 27.5 pilot.. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Stock carbs are Mikuni. I'd say 27.5 pilot, needle 2nd from the bottom, 320/330 main. If there is any confusion on what carbs you have post a pic. Quote
ringneckryan Posted February 3, 2014 Author Report Posted February 3, 2014 I am positive they are Keihin carbs. I will go out to the shop during halftime show. Some quick research online suggests some later years of banshee came with keihin is that correct? Quote
