Sandking Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Clean your jets, check the floats, reeds, and do a leak down test. Its running rich for a reason Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk Quote
bansheeboy01 Posted December 31, 2013 Author Report Posted December 31, 2013 iam thinking its ritch because I drove it out of the woods on one cylinder.. the cylinder that wasn't firing is now slinging oil all over the spark plug Quote
sstaton1983 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 What fouled it in the first place? start with compression check and pull the bowl and make sure a jet didn't come loose. And if your not sure always do a leak down test, I do one before every ride and then pull over every 15 minuets and do another. Quote

wayne_smith97 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Sounds like you need to do the leak down test just to rule out sir leaks Quote
sstaton1983 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 So it's rich and fouling plugs?? But it runs better when you induce a rich condition?? Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 I may be way off base but it sounds to me as it never really fouled out a plug it was just such a lean condition that it wasn't firing and when he richened it up it ran ok. I would also make sure pilot isn't plugged and main is in place and not plugged Quote
bansheeboy01 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 I just took the carb off and blew all the jets out with carb clean and non of them seamed to have dirt in them and if there was there isn't now and still having same problem Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Have you run both air screws in and backed them out 1.5 turns to make sure the air/fuel ratio is close 1 Quote

bansheeboy01 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 yes but I did 2 turns out not 1.5 but they are both the same Quote
