axle Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 Hello. Im Going to buy a new YFZ450 for just riding around the dunes with friends and family. Which means now I can do what ever I want to do to my BANSHEE . I want to make my banshee strictly drag. Were do I begin I want to make as much power as possible using the the stock cylinders as I can this does not eliminate resleaving them for a big bore. I just don't want to go mono block right now. any Ideas as to a good setup would be appreciated. Also there is a sand drag race coming up next month that i'm going to go to in Dallas. My mods are as Listed bellow if anybody has any idea what I can do to my current setup to get a little more power out of it I would appreciate it as well. I just ordered a set of 16cc domes for my cool head to boost compression. I think that will probably help alot. Thanks In advance Quote
Screamin_Banshee Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 Not sure of any drag's in Dallas, but there are some in Fort Worth area- actually Burleson on the 15th of next month. I usually race there on a regular bassis- should be there, but bike less. The mods are never ending, check the Drag Forum for lots and lots of information. If you going full drag there are some things I consider a must for a drag bike- make it as light as possible, lower it and strut it, drag pipes help, override tranny....list goes on and on my friend. To go fast it costs money...how fast u wanna go? Quote
axle Posted October 21, 2003 Author Report Posted October 21, 2003 Those are the races i'm refuring to. I'm going to be there fast or slow I just want to check it out. as far as cost I drag raced cars for 8 years so I know all about it being expensive. so youv'e raced there before? is it a Pretty nice Place? what kind of tree do they use full or pro .400 or .500?
