I'm not a fan of painting plastic for woods/trail riding, sooner or later it will scratch off. Quote
possum Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 I wouldnt use the primer. Primer tends to build to much and cause cracking later on. Use automotive urethane paints preferably base coat/clearcoat. Bulldog for adhesion promoter. Quote

possum Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 Clean them with acetone or laquer thinner or cleanup thinner. Yea paint will crack if rolled. Its not really made to bend that far. Quote
volcrano Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 use a grease and wax remover for prep. thinners can be too hot and melt the plastic unless you wipe it quick. bulldog is a great product. also. if you are using urethane clear, add a flex agent. it does what it says and helps durability. possum Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 Volcrano is right it will start to melt plastic. But use it lightly and it will give the paint more to adhere to since the surface will be slightly opened up. Seems to work good for me. Imo Quote
