4GivenByGodsGrace Posted February 7, 2013 Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 Painted them this morning at work. the were prepped by sanding plastic down with 80 then 180 on a DA sander, primed withhigh build 2K primer, then 400 wet sand followed by 800grit. The paint is from a Lexus, and is DuPont Chromabase, with the cheap Nason DuPont clear. The plastics had cracks that I repaired using a grinder and fiberglass reinforced filler. 4GivenByGodsGrace Posted February 7, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 thanks fellas, I am using aircraft stripper on frame ,forks, etc.. the previous owner did a botch job painting it so its going black and I will be doing red accents. like grips, maybe the wheels, etc..
