A duneable you can. Both types of overrides you can shift up without clutching. a duneable you can shift down wothout clutching. A notmal override you need to be at a stop or a slow roll before shifting down. A cut tranny you cannot shift without clutching. However you can go up or down or backload as needed. If you are just drag racing I would do a full 1-5 or 1-6 override. Quote
