Sheelovesme05 Posted August 2, 2012 Report Posted August 2, 2012 What's up fellas, this is my first post on here but I've lingered around this site a lil while now. Have and 05 banshee, completely stock other than boost bottle. Never been rebuilt and since december of '04 shee has ran flawlessly (and still does), but she's not wanting to idle at all. She sat for the past yr without being started, pulled it out today, put a gallon of gas in her and choked it, started first kick. Won't idle but will run. Took it for a lil spin figuring that since it sat for so long it's normal to run a lil rough at low revs. I get back and put new plugs in and she still won't idle. Doesn't want to start unless choke is pulled to the first stop either. Ive only tried adjusting the idle screws so far, havnt pulled that carbs or checked compression yet. Just hoping someone's had this exact prob and what the solution was. There's no cracks or leaks in the carb boots either. Hope someone can help. Thank you big time in advance Quote
Sheelovesme05 Posted August 2, 2012 Author Report Posted August 2, 2012 Is it a tough job to do with these carbs? I've rebuilt a couple Holley carbs and even a quadrajet but this will be my first atv carb/s. Quote
VoOK Posted August 2, 2012 Report Posted August 2, 2012 Very very simple.........just be sure not to mix parts. Disassemble and clean then reassemble one at a time to avoid this. Quote
Sheelovesme05 Posted August 2, 2012 Author Report Posted August 2, 2012 Thanks a bunch guys. I'll hit it in the am n see how it goes. I appreciate it Quote
