Ive never riddin on sand before just trails. what will i need to keep my bike safe in the dunes from blowing up? Im not running a airbox on my bike just 2 k&n filters right off the carbs. So just from what ive been reading i need prefilters atleast what else will i need? Quote
Overdose Posted March 23, 2012 Report Posted March 23, 2012 Yep definately a set of outerwears. Also if you don't have paddles you will want some they help a ton in the sand and if you spend any time on this site in about a week you'll want pipes, coolhead, port work, 4mil crank........Welcome to the madness Quote
Koba Posted March 23, 2012 Author Report Posted March 23, 2012 i already have it bored 30 over and fmf fatties some reeds and nerf bars. its ready to go for the most part just need some stuff for the dunes... tires, outerwears, prefilters, but ya it looks like madness with these haha i love it!!! ban99 Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 I try to have an extra set of filters and switch them out after two days in the sand. You'll notice some really fine silt in your carb boots after about three days of hard sand riding. K&N filters are nice as far as air flow (that's what I run) but they don't seem to catch as much small stuff as the old foam filters. Quote

Lots of practice in the sand! i am way more comfortable in the sand than anywhere else. Quote
DirtDiggler69 Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 X2 on the jetting and ditch those K&N's for. Pair of UNI filters and outerwears , they will protect your motor far better than that paper crap . Quote
