I am building a stock stroke 400PV T-rex. Now I already know that this is outdated and parts are hard to get. But this is what I got. I have been getting advice from some members already and one said maybe I should start a T-rex thread to see if other people have dealt with the Trex and dasa. Now its the older cylinders that ran dome pistons and not the flat top pistons. I've heard that they can be a pain in the ass to assemble. Im looking for more advice, what your setup was, where you kept your timing, squish clearence, any advice or opinions you might have besides its a waste of time.

Thanks for any info

There was a pair of those in the forsale section. Wondered if they got swooped up. Any way, I have heard of guys taking old school Rex's and swapping to normal modern pistons and getting new domes made. Not many guys are really playing with them any more. About the only guy I know that's still pushing the limit on them is Tony Doukas at TDR. They have like three url names for their website. Try Bansheedepot.com

Good luck with that thing, it may not be the meanest monster in the bunch, but the look on people's faces when they see what that little ol stock stroke can do will be priceless!

Well thank you guys but.......I just bought a 10mill cub. When my buddie indicated the cylinders and honed them, at 68.5 it would have been to loose. Plus there was bevel on the exhaust side that would have caught the ring. Looks like the piston froze at that spot. I could have bored to 69mm and that would have been my last size. Still not to bad. If i take care of it, I could get a good amount of time out of it. Than when I was pricing parts from TDR, I would have had a grand wrapped up in with what I paid for the cylinders. Plus work I should do to my crank. I stopped at ECA and traded it with some other parts on a brand new 10mill cub with pistons. It would have been a fun project but l had to be realistic about it. So thanks to everyone who has helped me with info along the way. Just look out for a 10mill coal hill shooter!

Cam, I have 2 complete t rex topends whenever your ready. One 4mil 72 bore and a 10mil 75.5 bore. Setup is key as with any motor. Once they're on, they can be bad ass.

Picklez, if you need anything pm me with your number.

Rotax what rods that 10 mill rex for and

ported it

The crank is a 10 mil with 120 rods. The motor was built by K&T. I'll go by the shop tomarrow and take some pictures of it. I had a weld brake out on the crank and knocked a small hole in both case halves. Also pitted the piston and dome on that side.

They run real strong when set up correctly and are torque monsters.

the reason they make soo much TQ is because they are PV motors.

randy when ever you want to send them to me or come down let me know.
