This is the 1st time I have seen these expanders for the oil control rings. One member said he left them out but there has to be a reason they are there. I am going to call Riken in the morning but thought one of you guys might know what the skinny is. Just in case there is some confusion.....its the spring that they give you to put under the bottom ring. I guess its pushes out on the ring?????? Can it be left out?

If they have an oil control ring then they are for a 4 stroke. 2 strokes do not use oil control rings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are banshee .50 mm pistons. The manufacturer ( not me) refer to the second set of rings as the oil control ring. It may be a generic set of instructions or a term used to describe the 2nd ring.

Not to mention.....who needs an oil control ring on a 2stroke.....its pointless cause there oil in your oil/fuel charge both on top AND under the pistons.

Either way just solve the problem by getting good quality pistons......Wiesco pro-lites
