2004LEBanshee Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Just curious if anyone has gotten there serval ported. If so did you like the outcome. Quote
SuperMex Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 If you port it you will have a cub, thats the whole reason to buy a Serval so you have a lower port timing. Quote
camatv Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 hmm not necessairly.. the serval has low timings making differnt timing other than cub all out drag numbers possible.. you can port a serval to run much better than right out the box AND still have grunt.. 128/190, 130/196, 130/192, 128/192, are all possible.. how a pipe will react to that i dont know. the snipers are working excellent with a ported serval. i personally havent rode a r-2 equiped bike or know what the pipes are port time matched too. lms1977 Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 My 10mil serval is 192-130 as cast and runs great with shearers hmm wonder what porting would do? Quote
SuperMex Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 @Cam, yeah you can port it and get a lil more thats the beauty of it your a port job away from a drag cylinder if you wanted or you can find a happy medium. I just mean if you going to drag port a Serval then you might as well buy a Cub. Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted September 11, 2011 Author Report Posted September 11, 2011 Yea I was more so wondering if there was a happy medium and if anyone had any experiance with one. I talked to jeff about it and he thinks it can be improved through out the range but nobodys done it Quote
SuperMex Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 The port timing are low enough that there is some room to play with, maybe in the future I'll do that with mine. Quote
camatv Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 ha ha nobodys done it.. there are a few rolling around... if i had a serval i can guarantee it wouldnt be out the box timings.. my 10 is 200/ 130 BUT i use the powervalves too. so when they are closed its somewhere less.. Quote
SuperMex Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 I'm going to ride the shit out mine in November at Glamis and if I want more I'm only a port job away. Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted September 11, 2011 Author Report Posted September 11, 2011 I didnt mean nobody does it. He said he hasnt done it yet. Quote
SuperMex Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 @Cam, what would you put the port durations at? Quote
