screamin_mimi Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Head milled .030 ... Duncan High Rev's ... 300 main jet .... 25 stock pilot jet .... 15 tooth front sprocket (just changed from 14 - first riding after change) .... 93 octane fuel Having a problem about half way through the RPM range -- just seems slightly boggy ... then when it hits over half way in the range -- she FLYS!!! Could this be from he 15 tooth sprocket change? Thinking the 15 tooth might just be giving me a lot more power on the top end. I did a spark plug check with mild riding - and it looks perfect. Anyone have any ideas? Main jet change? Pilot jet change? Reed issue? Sprocket? Also ---- anyone who is thinking of milling their head --- DO IT!! This banshee is SCREAMIN'!!!! THANKS!!!!! Quote
coryv4 Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 x2^^^^ your running lean on ur pilot get 27.5 and start with 1 and 1/2 turns out on the air screw then tune from there the farth in u go the richer if you have to turn it in farther than 1 turn u need a bigger pilot Quote
screamin_mimi Posted June 27, 2011 Author Report Posted June 27, 2011 Thanks for the info --- I am also on the 3rd notch on the needle... should I move it to the 4th? Quote
volcrano Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 dont do more than one thing at a time, then u wont know what worked, start with the 27.5 pilots.90% of bikes respond better to that pilot with any aftermarket pipe.hell sometimes u gotta run a 30.do the 27.5,if its not better try richening needle after.
