MatHolland Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Ok I finally got my banshee done. Except for jetting. Well the Yamaha shop only has one size I need and that's 270. I want to ride today so I was going to get some small ones and drill them out. Does anyone have a chart for the drill but numbers to use to make jets from about 250 to 280? Quote
Larry's Shee Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Unless you have an extensive drill selection it probably won't go well. Find drill that fits your 270 then pick the very next size. My guess is that the difference between a 270 and 280 might be .001 or even .0005. Plus then you have to keep track of which is which. I'm lazy, I would just order what I need and be done with it. I'm thinking you would need fractional, letter ,number, and metric drill set to come close to acheiving this. Good luck !! Quote
MatHolland Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 Machinist drill bits are very precise. I used them to drill jets for a Harley carb. I will order but k want to go riding and I got to wait 2 days to get jets. Quote
