Hold the throttle wide open and kick until the gauge stops going up. Repeat for the other side. I have read different things as far as doing it on a cold motor or warm. Most seem to recommend with the motor cold. Quote

Most seem to recommend with the motor cold. The schrader valve should be flush with the end as well. The cheap kits have the schrader in the hose. For a true reading, each adapter should have a schader n it. Quote
camatv Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 i have an old snap on gague my grandpappy used was my inheritance.. i just drop it in and kick till it stops most 2 strokes with stock head wont start with the kicker below 110ish PSI cold. if its got a cool head it can vary a lot i ususally just compare the 2 cylinders to eachother.
