SHEEfan Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 curious what would be good gearing for my supercub?, i casually drag race about 60 percent of the time(when drag racing its around 300ft or under) and dune 40 percent of the time mainly hill climbs in oregon. its a 4mill supercub with 38mm pwks on gas, pvl ignition, 8 inch arm, and 22" 11paddle sls. any suggestions? thanks Quote
mailman Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 15/44 or 14/42 would not be a bad start. I had a similar build and that should be a good start. There are too many factors to get it spot on like HP output, rider ability, weight, etc. If you had 14 and 15 tooth counter shaft sprockets and rear 41's to 44's you should be able to find a good combo. You should be able to get a good hard launch in second gear otherwise you are geared too high. Good Luck. Quote
SHEEfan Posted February 18, 2011 Author Report Posted February 18, 2011 ok yea that sounds better, i forgot to add i am 195 lbs, the bike was dynoed at 89 hp with 54lbs of torque, and i am currently running 15/45 and i cant get a good launch in 2nd. Quote
stpltn Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 I have some friends running stock stroke stock bore banshees. 1-4 over ride. Launching in 1st in 300ft. Running alky. 15-41 gearing gets them about 4.7et consistently. Quote
