Hello everyone i'm looking to change my Toomey T5's to the new Rocket R2's. I have researched and read post after post on these pipes just wondering if anyone has any negative feed back on these pipes and if so what? Also I have not found any dyno sheets comparing the R2 to any other pipe on the market? My riding style is basically a aggressive duner I shoot the hill from time to time but mainly just an all around duner.

You're probably not gonna find or hear any negatives. From what I understand, they perform like the earlier version of the Rockets, which womp on the Toomeys..

The early version Rockets or the first design are quite bulky, could possibly burn your legs if you didn't pay attention, but that has appears to have been addressed with the R2's

I have read nothing but good things about them and I think with my riding style and engine mods these pipes will be perfect and they look sick too so thats another plus.

I'd like to see a comparison between the R2's and a set of CPI's with identical engine setups for each. The CPI's are proven for dune riding time and time again.

X2. I'm sure the R2's kick ass....But Can't go wrong with CPI's either, They run really well on my agressive dune ported stock stroke 350 :bolt:

If I remember correctly, I think I had read some debates in the past on Rocket vs. CPI pipes, some claimed Rockets were better and some claimed CPI's were better.

I think it more or less comes down to how the engine is ported and such. Each pipe probably responds a lil differently then one another to different builds and then of course looks. Some will like the looks of one over the other.

No idea about the performance side, but i had one set of CPIs and they fit like crap. Couple buddies have the R2s and weren't impressed with the design of the silencers and stingers. Leaks and rivets I remember being issues. Dont know if those were fixed or not. I think they were happy with the performance of the pipe over all though.

What pipes do you have on your Banshee in the picture?

Those are Snyper Assasins. They're a cub pipe. Talked to my buddy with the r2s. He said they sent him new silencers. So all is good.

Don't think the Snypers are out yet. He's getting pretty close though. I got mine early October. Had Jim at Passion port my cub and got a package deal. First set of inframes I was told. I'm waiting for the production versions to come out so I can get the newer silencers.
