ok so i just saw on a post about rocket pipes whats the low down on them does any1 have them and know if there really as good as they say they are i heard waybetter then t5s is this true are they that good?

I took toomey up on their deal to trade in an old set(T4s) and do the chrome upgrade for $375. Although when I ordered online it rang up at $320( hard to pass up). I may be starting a 4 mil project if I work a deal out today and the R2s will definately be on that one. Everyone that has em loves them. They rev out higher and sound sick as hell. Plus they are 92db which is sound legal for Oregon.

 

Check Runs video out slow rollin with his kid on it and they still sound nice IMO.

Those are CPI's on mikes bike in that vid there.

 

I run the first gen rockets (6 years old) and they are defiantly ALOT louder then 92db with new packing.

(My T5's were pretty damn loud too and no one cared in Oregon)

 

Vid of me just rippin into my sand/gravel pit from my driveway and then back last year.

 

Few more actual vids from out riding and climbing, just been lazy to upload them.

 

I got my cookie jar taken away on that clip

Those are CPI's on mikes bike in that vid there.

 

I see that nowbanghead Guess I assumed they were the rockets without looking at them since I know he's got em on now.

I run the original Rockets as well. I absolutely love them. I've had them on two different motors now, dune ported 4mil and now a drag ported 10mil cub. The low end on them is better than the T5s and they pull their guts out on top. The old Rockets have a chrome finish that is second to none. I don't know anyone with the new R2s with chrome, maybe someone will chime in about the quality. I think the new R2s lack a little on the bottom compared to the originals, but are supposed to rev a few hundred RPMs higher.

With my Rocket's, ( they are the first gen's ), there was really no loss of bottom, but the mid came on hard and pulled like a freight train to the top.

 

When I first put them on and did some jetting of course, I could pull 5th gear sit down wheelies without clutching, with at the time only other mods being timing bumped +4 and drilled air box.

 

The rest of the wheeler was stock as in the pic.
