stuck in 2nd and 3rd

If i were to go into my garage right now and hop on my banshee, i could go through all 5 gears no problem but after a short period of riding, i end up with only 2nd and 3rd gear. ocasionally when this happens and i am putting it back to camp, something happens and then all the gears come back briefly followed again by only having 2nd and 3rd. ill camp out that night or whatever and all of a sudden the next morning every gear shifts again ( until i begin to ride for a little bit) WTF!!! I dont know much about banshee's yet so any help will be apprectiated!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine had the same problem he changed the oil and seems to be doing fine i'll have to ask him what oil he used.He said that the other oil he used was too thin and got hot fast and made shifting hard.My shee just don't shift at all unless i'm easy on the gas i'm looking at getting the shift shaft mod and shift star.Good luck to you hope you get it worked out.

I run the yamaha oil for the trans just go to the dealer and ask for it, also mine would do that and the shift claw was bent a little,and do yourself a favor and put a modded shiftstar in it.
