bansheesandrider Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 am i supposed to use gasket sealer on my cylinder and head gaskets? Not if they are genuine Yamaha gaskets. If the base gaskets have the silicone bead on them, they dont need sealer. Most head gaskets don't need sealer on them and if you have a Cool Head with O rings you should put some Vaseline or grease on them to keep them in place during assembly. Quote
AKheathen Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 yah, the head gaskets should be installed clean-dry, but i have seen some use that coper tack spray on there fine, but don't use anything else. Quote
