Polish or Paint

Just wondering if you guys think I should try to polish these silencers or sand em down and paint them flat black. pipes are flat black now and I have never polished anything before and do not know the first thing about it but it's never to late to learn in my opinion.

i'd try to polish them first, but i also have never tryed polishing although it cant be too hard. ask around a little longer before painting them some guys on here can give ya some great tips on polishing, ive read threads b4 on it but dont recall how to do it

i had a set that was polished they look sweet. And i cut the down they looked alot better

just me but i like to see a nice slick painted surface. to me it depends on how much other polished/chrome parts you have on the bike about the only polished parts i like on quads are the pipe. as for the silencers if the headpipes are polished i would polish them and vice versa

I'd try polishing em first and if all else fails paint em.

Those silencers are very polishable. I had my old T5s' ceramic coated and polished silencers myself. Wet sand them & step it up to a fine grit as needed. I used loose/sewn buffer wheels with brown/white/green compounds.

I kinda wondered how it would look with black pipes and polished silencers....and seeing yours it actually looks good. although my pipes are flat black and yours have more of a gloss finish.

Flat black pipes look so much better than gloss, gives it a more stealthy look. Let me know if you need help.

I hate to jack your thread. Climb can you tell me how big around the tip of the sparky that goes into the silencer tube is. I need to fab up some sparkys

I would definetly go polished. How can you beat the chrome look. I'm actually in the process of polishing mine. Let us know what you end up doing and post some pics.

Sorry, I don't have these pipes anymore.. I'm sure someone can take measurements for ya.
