bigborebanshee Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 When changing over the stock clutch basket to a billet one,do you have to install the paper/vinyl washer?.The one that came out of the stock basket was not in the best shape and a bit brittle.Yamaha doesn't list a replacement.does anyone run it?It appears its function is more for friction between the basket and ring gear, but being in an oil bath,it should not matter? SAVAGE420 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 I never did going for a stock basket to a magnum billet basket and F.A.S.T clutch. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 No you don't need it. The only thing you use from the old basket is the drive gear. Quote
