So Cal Suspension Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 anyone know of a durable spray paint .is rustoleum my best bet???? Well that all depends on what you're painting. Remember that with ANY paint job, prep is #1. It doesn't matter how good of paint you buy, if your prep sucks, your finished product will suck. For plastics, alot of people have had good luck with Krylon Fusion. I would think for any metal parts that ARENT going to get too hot, standard ol' rustoleum would be fine, maybe with a coat or two of clear ontop of it. For pipes, I have heard that BBQ paint works. It doesn't. I prepped and prepped and prepped my pipes, they were METICULOUSLY clean. still peeled first trip. Heads/motor, I would think standard engine enamel would be sufficient. I have never painted a motor. Good luck! Quote
peterlocal22 Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 i use rustloeum for metal parts. seems to hold up just fine. dont forget to get a decent primer before. Quote
