what cause this

i have a stock cub here that lost compression and when i tore it down i founf this.

 

the nik coating is trashed on both sides but one piston looks like it was going to melt into the exhaust.

 

who recoats cub cylinders at a good price ?

I'm no expert but I had similar issues with my 4mill cub. I had one carb intake boot come loose and let air into the cylinder and then it died but only on that side. Looks like you used a low grade fuel, detination is the word they use. There is a place on ebay that does it the cheapest, from what I know millienum plating are the guys who do all nikisil plating. Its gunna cost u around 400+ dollars aafter plating shipping and pistons. Ya it sucks, I ended up selling them for what I could get and bought a 485 cheetah kit

its a customers bike,but the plug was tight.

 

it has 17cc domes in it,so fuel may have been the problem because 93 pump gas was in it when he brought it to me.

i had a cub plated through vitos awhile back, they use millennium i think its was like $250 for strip, plate and diamond hone. it could be more depending on if they need to be welded or fix detination .
