patrickkomar Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 I have a set of laser star headlights that are on stock location mounts now but I would like to mount them to the upper front fender stays. Will this affect the performance of the lights, and will my bulbs tend to burn out fast due to more vibrations? Quote
peterlocal22 Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 I would guess the excessive vibrations would be a problem for the life of the light Quote
patrickkomar Posted February 17, 2010 Author Report Posted February 17, 2010 I was looking at the mounts I have now and they are all metal and rigid mounted so I don't think vibration is a worry. Will moving the lights out and back screw with there performance any??? Quote
boneyardbanshee. Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 I have a set of the Wal-Mart lights mounted where the fenders mount, they actually hold the fenders on. So far I have had no issues with them. I did modify them a little though. Added some rubber washers here and there to snug everything up and put a rubber gromet where the wires go in. I dont think you will have a problem as long as everything is nice and snug in there. Quote
patrickkomar Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 Thanks man! Yup I want to mount them in the same spot yours are. Lazar stars mount with a stud and two nuts so I will add a rubber washer to both sides under the metal washers and go for it! Quote
