GNR101 Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 i was wondering what exactly is a coolhead what does it do does it have any power gains and can i put one on a stock banshee would it be worth it i have searched i just cant find my answers the head cools a little better but the main reason ppl use them is for the changeable domes (smaller dome = more compression) yes u can use one on a stock motor.. id say 21cc domes that will bump your compression up and give you a little stronger bottom end pipes +4 timing are better mods if your stock Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 A friend of mine put a cool head on his stock banshee just to keep the cylinder temps down. Quote
georgie Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 What would happen if you put in the wrong octane in a cool head with high comp.? Quote
AKheathen Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 boom...haha.........seriously, too muck compression would detonate and pit/blow the piston and domes...... Quote
GNR101 Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 What would happen if you put in the wrong octane in a cool head with high comp.? if your looking to bump the compression up a bit .. just go 21s and stick a timing plate in set at +4 unless your going to squish test and compression test your shee and know a bit about tuning your shee then you could go 20s or lower Quote
