bbcmudtruck Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I don't think you can run a 4mil crank with a 392. You will have to buy 421 cylinders. Quote

Wheelman Chassis Posted December 28, 2009 Author Report Posted December 28, 2009 just a clean up port on the 392, so if i run a short rod on the 4 mil i can stay with the same cyl? Quote
sleeper06 Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I know they make one for a 40 over blaster piston but I think its a 398,In my opinion the durations of the port are to large for the added stroke, last time I degreed one it was on the high end.You would also need to cut the domes if the piston comes through the deck Quote
Wheelman Chassis Posted December 28, 2009 Author Report Posted December 28, 2009 ok with that being said, say i get the 392 ported and switch to meth.how much would i be giving up to the cleanup port cub 4mil? Quote
sleeper06 Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 A drag ported stock stroke cub will tear ass, there is just more capability in the 421 set up,hp will lower along with the torque curve Quote
RadarRacing Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Can it be done. Yes. But you'd take a 392 which has port durations of 194/130 and end up with 198/136 which isn't really what you'd want for transfer duration. It could be lowered but you can easily sell the 392 cyl add a few hundred for a new cyl and it would be a lot better running motor. IMO. Nate Mccoy and Dan Hull can build those 392s into little monsters get it ported and a set of their domes and it'll rock. Quote
