baker Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 hey guys, ill be putting my new top end on tommarow and was wondering what jets to use can ya help my mods are-- hotrods crank .040 over dune/trail ported cyl.,vitos power pistons, cool head with new 22cc domes or should i use the 19s in it? also fmf fatttys k&n filter no lid on airbox, boost bottle and dyna fs cdi. any help would be awesome and what about the domes do they just change compression? and what octane gas should i run and what ratio with amsoil thanks alot hopefully this thing will rip what do ya think? sleeper06 Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 You will prob end up around 340 main,30 pilot,aftermarket needles(i have gotten stock ones tuned out but also have had problems)Start at 360s work down, you might need smaller domes but 19s might put you in race gas territory depending on how your transf/exh are cut, you need to do a compression test when assembled to be sure ,I run 32:1 even on my drag bikes just my opinion tho Quote

The mains I would start out like said above 340 and work around there. But it would also help more if you we could get your elevation and temp your going to be riding in. As for the domes. What gas are you wanting to run? well i dont know my elevation, i tried a link on here to find out but it wouldnt work. im in central new york and it will be cold when i break in this new motor, but most riding will be during summer 80-90 degrees. i dont care what gas i run but what do i lose other than compression with the 22cc domes, ill probly have to run the 22s cause 1 of the 19s took a good beating when the motor blew. it'll be a few days or even a couple weeks now i went to put my new top end on today but my buddy says get a new crank the right side has a lot of play side to side in a tiny bit up and down,so now for a new crank ,but this thing will be all new soon and should fukin rip Quote
