camorider Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 My banshee is pouring gas out the rear overflow hoses of the carbs. This happens when I turn the fuel on. I didn't start it . I just replaced the throttle cable, carb hoses, and gas tank. Don't know if it's got an air pocket in there or what. I installed everything as it was before. Any advice? Quote
crustydemon Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 I noticed mine doing that about an hour ago, stuck float. Quote
GrMeyer Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Pull the carb bowls and clean the bottom of the carb. Make sure that the floats are working. Reinstall everything and if it is still doing it then you will need to adjust your float hight. And if that doesnt work then your in for a rebuild kit. Or just float needles. Quote

If adjusting your float does not work you might have to replace the float needle. Quote
rubberneck Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 before you pull anything apart, just tap the bowl with the handle of a screwdriver or a small extension. A lot of times the float is just stuck and this will free it and fix the problem. If it persists then pull the bowl and clean it. Quote
