3lue by u Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 The fins are pretty close together, and depending on how much paint you goop on there it seems like you could clog the area between the finsmaking it so air can't pass through... I don't know though. I havent seen or done it, just speculating. I have seen intake temp tests on painted intercoolers versus bare ones and the bare is cooler by far. Dont remember actual numbers but it was considerable. I am actually going to strip mine down amd polish it up. Quote

I havent seen or done it, just speculating. i see what u guys are saying but as long as air can move through and its done no more then two coats its fine. i sprayed my radiator with high heat and clear.i run 112 with compression of like 185 and my bike stays cool. I tried those hoses and they held up for about an hour.....then all of a sudden the damn thing popped off and I was SOL!! Any trick that I might have missed?? Quote
