joee20002 Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 so how much adjustability is there in a power jet? like if my main is a .118 and i closed the power jet all the way what size would it be then? Quote
shanYE west Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 The size of the main jet has no bearing on size the power jet is. In a variable clipard jet.. The power jet can be adjusted from closed to full open wich is limited to the ID size of the power jet. Quote
sheefreak Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 Do you have any drill bits small enough to fit in the power jet? You can then measure w/a mic. I don't know what range of jet sizes a powerjet can make up for, but it is a pretty good amount. You should be able to get pretty close measuring the PJ. Obviously you will not flow anymore than the barb for the PJ that the fuel line connects to so you might want to measure that as well to make sure it isn't smaller than the tube. It shouldn't be though.... Quote
blanco25 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) sorry to butt in your thread. but dont see to many pj threads. is it possible to run gas jets on the carbs with a power jet for alky. or does every setup need it main drilled? sorry joe Edited August 4, 2009 by blanco25 Quote
shanYE west Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 you can use a power jet with gas.. but.. usually the main jet is suffiecent in supplying enough fuel that a power jet isn't required. But.. the dump tubes have been drilled bigger in alky carbs.. So unless its a mikuni carb.. your dump tubes is set at what ever they were drilled at. Quote
