Mine did the same thing. My crank started to come apart.

 

Take a wood handle or stephoscope (sp?) and put it where you think the sound is coming from and put it to your ear. The noise will be easy to hear the close you get to the sound. That will better help you pinpoint the noise.

2000 Banshee with a low end rattle. Seems to be worst at idle. Seems to go away with some throttle. Ideas? Thanks.

 

I have the same problem and I believe it is my idler gear, does not seem real tight.

so on a banshee, idler gear on right side and flywheel on left side. Do I just have to pull both side covers? I have never pulled apart anything motor wise on a banshee. Anyone got pics of the process they can post? Thanks.
