Banshee23! Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 2000 Banshee with a low end rattle. Seems to be worst at idle. Seems to go away with some throttle. Ideas? Thanks. Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Mine did the same thing. My crank started to come apart. Take a wood handle or stephoscope (sp?) and put it where you think the sound is coming from and put it to your ear. The noise will be easy to hear the close you get to the sound. That will better help you pinpoint the noise. Quote

robert0762 Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 if its a knock your flywheel may be loose Quote
Banshee23! Posted July 13, 2009 Author Report Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) so on a banshee, idler gear on right side and flywheel on left side. Do I just have to pull both side covers? I have never pulled apart anything motor wise on a banshee. Anyone got pics of the process they can post? Thanks. Edited July 13, 2009 by Banshee23! Quote
Banshee23! Posted July 13, 2009 Author Report Posted July 13, 2009 noise sounds like it is mostly coming from left side Quote
Drewski Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 the idler gear is next to the clutch on the other side Quote
