How much Tranny fluid

I put in 1 3/4 quarts of BEL-ray Gearsaver 85 WT... seems close. What are you guys putting in, amount wise?

 

It seems alot harder to measure it with a billet dipstick by the way...

i put 2 quarts in

 

also check the cover bolts periodically they can come loose and leak. the lens cover .

Yea, those suckers came loose quite often so far. Definately a good idea to tighten before and after every ride... They weren't loose as in coming out, but not tight, you know?

I added the extra 2-3 ounces in... and will always put 2 in from now on. I really appreciate your input here.

 

On another note, you guys ever have issues with those plastic covers fading, cracking, scratching, etc. over time???

 

Mine looks really good now, and I will try and keep it that way. Just wondering if I should expect degradation over time

Another tip. Dont use locktight on them. It will cause the lexan to crack. I went through 3 of them trying to figure out what the heck was going on. It looked like some one smashed it with a hammer around the bolts. I only put locktight on the first one, and didnt completly clean it on the other 2. Finally direct drive told me to send my ring to them so they can check to see if it was warped. They cleaned it up real good, and I havent had a problem yet.
