Recently started racing at Ogden Dirt Drags in West Tennessee and my trail bike is slowly becoming more track oriented hahah, Last weekend fully strutted with some kenda klaws i ran a 5.3 consistent, got a full drag port on a pair of cylinders and go down to 18 cc domes from 21cc on my first weekend....im running 5.2's but bike feel 3 times faster? especially in the yard where it hooks better has way more power and i know its faster..... Guy at the track said i was blowing the tires off all the way down the track, so my pro wedges are worn all to hell and i borrowed a set of 4 snows in waaaaay better shape from a guy at the track and run the same 5.2's blowing the tires....... what do any of you run? Remember this is 300ft dirt.

Thanks

That track isn't taylored for paddles, but you have too much power for wedges. And the e.t.s aren't that accurate there. I'll be heading there a few times this summer, I'm sure. I can bring some paddles for you to try. Do you run a wheelie bar? What length swingarm? Maybe some 22x11x8 12 - 14 pdl extremes. I have some 10 pdl extremes that will fit stock Banshee wheels that I'd sell pretty cheap. Like new,but not the best size. I think they are 21x10x9. Better than watcha got now.

Sounds like the same kind of track I was running on in North Carolina.

Do some research on studded tires. Trust me, it will be the best investment you made. They are not that expensive when you do them yourself. Just use the Kenda's you already have.

4 snows are a lil heavy my opinion........

i run prowedge 1's and 2's and im running in the high 3's on a track that is clay kinda river dirt...

after the 175ft mark the tracvk kinda looks shinny....lol

if i was you i would go pro wedge 2's but get the 8 inch rim 1's becuase the 9 inch rim wedges are thinner and give easy......

Well as of now im strutted and thats it, stock swinger and no wheelie bar, but my problem is not standing up on me, im sitting damn near on the tank when I take off and it doesnt try to come up much. I was about to order a set of the desert storms because i was scared of extreme paddles for that track also..I mean paddles aint cheap and id hate to spend 250 on something that dont work. i went cheap and got a set of ams zippers to try, if they dont work any better i can always try them 10 pdl extremes u have and if they work for me i'll get em off your hands. Also if you plan on coming down, try this weekend, saturday and sunday are the Spring Nationals, so it will be a good crowd and more money to win ahhaaha

get urself a set of 4 snows, run 5 pounds of air and mount them opposite to the rotational pattern you will get alot faster ets

Yea i was running my wedges and the 4 snows I borrowed at 4.5 lbs and backwards.....

This track is not a good wedge track for anything over 60 hp, I'd say. It's soft sand but they roll it, then put water on it (makes no sense to me), but paddles work much better than wedges on all but bolt on bikes.
