T_Shee Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 i know you guys never get tired of jetting questions so here we go. i looked down through the jetting thread and no one had the same setup as me. currently at .080 over, t5's, chariot reeds, timing plate at +4, elevation around 800 ft, stock port and stroke. im thinking about starting in the neighborhood of 145 or 148 but would like to know if anyone else has a similar setup and what they are running. i have 50 pilots but im def. thinking those are too big. any help appreciated including main and pilot size, needle type and position, and air screw adjustment travis Quote
rtcc Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 (edited) I have pretty similar mods to you. I am still getting mine dialed in perfectly but starting at 152-155 it will be rich but should get you close depending on temperature. I am running 150 and it seems just about right for around 70 degrees. My pilots are 38's right now, but my bike as always wanted very little fuel on the bottom end. Not sure why. and my needle is unmarked and it came with my carbs so I have no idea what kind it is. oh and I am at 1000' elevation Edited May 17, 2009 by rtcc Quote
dragbanshee Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 Hey Travis I had the 158 and 50 pilots, may seem a little rich but my bike likes it, never a mis or bog. They are the oko 30mm but I don't think it makes much of a difference. Quote
T_Shee Posted May 17, 2009 Author Report Posted May 17, 2009 ok thanks for the help guys. ive been working my way down from the 35 pwk's the idiot previous owner had on this bike when i got it. i traded for some 33's and now im trading for 28's so i should be about right now. with my 33's i was running 150's but had to lean the needle out to the second notch from bottom to make it run clean and strong. so i think ill start there and see what happens. do you guys think going from 33 pwk to 28 pwk i will need to go up in jets or down? you get those cpi's dialed in lyn? sucks about the crappy weather at haspin, i spent an hour cleaning the shee already and still not done Quote

T_Shee Posted May 25, 2009 Author Report Posted May 25, 2009 did you get it figured out? i think you should lean it out on the main and see what happens. i ended up at 148 on main and it runs really strong. since you have some portwork maybe you should try something in the high 150's. Quote
