silveradoz-71 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 hey guys im hopeing you can help me. just picked up a 95 from a friend for cheap because his brother ran a tank of 20:1 fuel through it. the problem is that it sounds like the right cylinder isn't firing or is misfiring. there is a lot more smoke coming out of the right then the left and it is no where near as hot as the left pipe. thanks Quote
shee4speed Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Welcome to the HQ. You need to look at the plugs and see how they look and prob.replace them. The carbs may need to be synced also.If you have a compression tester,it would be a good idea to get those #'s. Do that stuff and go from there. Also, how does the airfilter look? And what are all the mods to her.1 more thing,PICS please. Quote

serius4play Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 THose look pretty bad. they shuld be a orang yellow color and not be all black and nasty. to much fuel. are you running regular fuel or premium or race gas? perhaps its not liking ethinol in the fuel if your running regular pump gas. id try runing some race gas to see what happens Quote
shee4speed Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 20:1 wont hurt anything.Thats what the book calls for I believe.Run 32:1 and you should be fine.No need for race gas with 130 compression. click here for sync vid. And get that filter cleaned up good.Try that. Quote
silveradoz-71 Posted April 30, 2009 Author Report Posted April 30, 2009 a dirty air filter would cause this?? i only have one filter 2 into 1? Quote

shee4speed Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 What does the smoke look like? Is it really wet coming out of the pipe? Quote
swrbansheeboy Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 right side smoke more often than not points to one thing... blown crank seal, do a leak down test to confirm the engines holding pressure before you start chasing your tail trying to fix a bunch of stuff thats working correctly... Quote
silveradoz-71 Posted May 3, 2009 Author Report Posted May 3, 2009 hey thanks thats what it seems to be after i was reading on here. where will i hear/see the air coming out if it is a crank seal? im gonna make a leak down tester probably today Quote
