rtcc Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 hey guys, I am wondering if there is a special way to color bolts. I figured painting them was the easiest obviously but I am thinking about coloring the bolts on my hipers black so there isnt as much silver. Do you think they will hold up at all? What about actually installing them? thanks guys Quote

swrbansheeboy Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 (edited) i'm assuming that there steel? you basicly have two options, paint or powdercoat. and both will make the size of the bolt heads larger so the coating will chip off when you put the socket on them... if they were aluminum then you could get them anodized... any way you slice it your going to mess them up when you install them. someone may make a plastic lined socket for your application but i've never seen one... boneyardbanshee. Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I am sure they make something for this. They have wrenches for the anodized collars for nitrous hookups so you would think they have some kind of socket. Only thing is you wouldnt have the torque on the nitrous lines that you would have on the wheel bolts. If not you could try some electrical tape and make sure to use thread locker. Maybe check with Summit  Quote
AKheathen Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 just install them and use a paint pen after Quote
