motoxraceman2345 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Ok so i am sure this has been covered somewhere. But here it goes, i just bought an 01 all stock except pipes k&n s. When i first got the bike the plugs were fouled i put new ones in, then i started it up, the right carb leaked out the back and out the over flow. (new to banshee's but ase in auto repair)I thought to check the floats, i took the bowl off sprayed brake clean in everything, now that cylinder is not fireing, so i took the carb apart cleaned everything still the same thing. It gets spark, and that side will run if i spray a lil gas in that side (mixed the same as the tank gas), but then coughs out on that side, no smoke out of the pipe and no heat. Prob something i am over looking. Thank you Quote
sleeper06 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 As sais above, clean the carbs better ,the pilot circuits in stock carbs are tiny you might need to take all the jets out clean everything w/small wire Quote
motoxraceman2345 Posted March 22, 2009 Author Report Posted March 22, 2009 Thanks guys for the pointers..ill take everything back apart tonight and try a small wire. Worst case ill just buy some new bigger carbs want them anyways. Quote

AKheathen Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 also, shine a light down the pilot hole, and make sure you see a pinhole through the little kole in the reedside bore Quote
motoxraceman2345 Posted March 23, 2009 Author Report Posted March 23, 2009 I cleaned the pilot she fired first kick. thanks guys hey off hand does anyone know a good number of turn for the air screw to start with? Quote
gasmask34 Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 I cleaned the pilot she fired first kick. thanks guys hey off hand does anyone know a good number of turn for the air screw to start with? after rechecking the carbs and the problem is still there switch the carbs around. if the problem goes with the carb swop check and see if the carbs slider are going up and down at the same time. if one of the slides are off then it will produce a dead cylinder Quote
