04chase Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 are they all like this? it seems to have alot of play when bolted to the brake plate. like moving back and forth . i would think this would wear out the aluminum bushing that goes between the swingarm boss and brake plate . Quote
bansheefreak Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 no not good should have a lil alum piece that fits around the pin and has 2 flat sides to hold the brake stay in one spot... Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 A little play is normal. If your talking about the brake plate itself, not sure what else could be loose? Quote

Wildcardracing Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 The JJandA carriers come with larger slot than the modquad or boss ones. Not sure what size the Lonstars are ect. That may be your issue. Talk to whoever built the arm and find out what carrier brand they use. You can buy the Boss brake plates separate from the carrier and it will fit several other carriers. 04chase Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 im using the boss plate not because i got a jj and a carrier with their plate and it would work so im using the boss plate with jj and carrier and an slc swinger , it uses the 1/2 boss instead of the 15mm one jj and a recomends. Its not alot of slop but enough to shake your head and seems like it would hog out a hole. just dont like things like this on my stuff. Quote
