Hey guys! hows it going? i was at my track today and i rode a 08 yfz 450. its a really nice ride and the suspinsion on it is really good stock. I was just setting here thinking what if you took a 450 frame and put the banshee motor on it you would have the banshee's power with the 450 handeling and ride. has anyone already done this or you think its just stupid lol

Its been thought up and asked about many times before, alot of guys are probably going to give your crap because your "disgracing a banshee" but if you want to try it then go for it... In fact I think a guy recently was doing a post on progress on his banshee powered YFZ project

There are several guys that have done it and have posted up their builds on the forum, do a search and you'll find them. From what I remeber getting the motor in the frame was pretty simple as long as you have decent fabracating skills. There was no need to chop up the frame, they just had to fab up a couple of motor mounts; the tricky one was the rear because the yfz motor mounts via the swing arm bolt. The biggest hurtle in the build is the pipes. Either aftermarket pipes will have to be modified to fit or custom pipes need to be made.

if i have time i'll see if i can find the posts and send you the links.
