cristian Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Hey there. I got my banshee in 2008 in october and still own it today. My banshee's clutch seems to be very stiff compared to other banshee's!! I have went and pulled the clutches on my friend's 2006's banshees and they seem to be very light to pull compared to mine!!!! My banshee switches gears perfect and i have no trouble finding neutral, it's just that the clutch lever is very hard to pull. Even my dad's 1998 banshee's clutch is easier to pull then mine and mine is a 2001!!! What can be wrong??? Do I need to change something?? If yes then what?? Quote

RUDEDAWG Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Sorry bro! I meant the clutch cable. It probably needs to lubed or replaced. Quote
twizted269 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 it is also possible that you have heavy duty clutch springs. if it pulls smooth but is stiffer you are fine. just the springs. they can be changed to stock if you want it easier but nothing to worry about. Quote

But what do you mean by "if it pulls smooth"??? Quote

twizted269 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 dont worry about the stiffness if cable was lubed. the heavy springs mean more pressure on the clutch plate for a little better grip and a tired hand. Quote

But it has kind of a big gap but the cable pulls it right back to normal!! I have tested it and it leaves the spot quite nicely and its not skipping at all Quote
johnhsf5 Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Is there an adjustment for neutral gear?? Quote
98_shee Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 No, there is an adjustment for the shift shaft. What the problem? Post a new topic in the repairs and mods section. Quote
