FireHead Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Buy one from Direct Drive or Cascade. Quote
jbooker82 Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 (edited) I would buy one too. Make sure it is a bran new cast direct drive cover. They are better than the stock moddifed ones. They are nice because you can change a clutch out with out even pulling the side cover off. Edited February 3, 2009 by jbooker82 Quote
twizted269 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Buy one from Direct Drive or Cascade. can these be found for the stock clutch? Quote
2001Stroker Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 it doesn't matter if you have a stock clutch, aftermarket clutch, or lockout, it works. I have a Direct Drive. You can buy the 12 bolt plate and lexan from them for $45. Then you have to get the stock cover machined, and the plate epoxied to the cover. Quote
gasmask34 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 anyone modd the stock ones (i dont wanna do it mysel) or should i buy one? dave i spoke with kim at K&T proformance today about that mod done to a stock cover. mod, lockup and to have it polished would cost $230.00 plus shipping... RDZ Racing, Redline Racing, Titan Racing and a few others offers this mod...give one of them a call and go with what you like... thats the only way to be  Quote

They ether weld on or epoxy on an extension ring. Then the outer ring bolts to that. Direct Drives NEW cast cover has the extension just cast as part of the cover. It is also thicker around the kick starter for more support. It also gets rid of the vent under the water pump. 249 gets you a RAW cast cover, billit ring and lexan http://www.directdrivecnc.net/banqcm.html Quote

The Direct Drive die cast cover is far superior to anything else those other folks are doing. To clarify my previous post: Cascade sell the Direct Drive Cover. Quote
