If it's not one thing, it's another. I had encountered a problem with my throttle sticking (or so I'd assume that's what's happening) when I was riding last time. So after fixing my no rev problem, I took it to the car wash and gave it a good cleaning. Idles and revs just fine, problem is, it's acting like an old 2 stroke Detroit Diesel when you don't adjust the valves right. It starts to just run away and want to max out the rpm's when I give the throttle a twist. I end up having to shut it down each time. I'm starting to get frustrated. I'm not much of an ATV mechanic (I work on diesels, much more simple!). I really don't want to sell this and go back to the 4 strokes (I do miss my 660 Raptor sometimes). Do the carbs have a tendency to stick open or anything? Cleaning them help me at all? All else fails, I'm gonna take it to ALBA or Fun Bike Center down the road. I really need to get this thing running right for the weekend. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

i would start by chaecking to see if the throttle is moving smoothly when the bike is off and check if everything is stuffed back in the carb correctly. if that was all ok id check the throttle tube see if all that stuff is clean then check the cable for kinks. and check if the cables are staying in all the cable adjusters firmly. ive had them jump out of the adjuster b4 and it pulled the cable 7/8". if thats all fine id start looking for airleaks. hope my input was helpful and goodluck

Hey, ive been readin up on the TORS because ive tried just about everything to get it running for the winter. Ive had the carbs rejeted for the correct temp im at 1000 ft above sea level. so i unplugged my TORS where it conects to that black box near the spark plugs and i started it up and it sounded great except for it ways idling way too high and i was wondering wether or not if i can leave it like that and just adjust the idle screw? Will it be fine?

just adjust the screws atop of the carbs, it brings the slides down..make sure they are synced

Hey, I've been trying to do some research on the tors. And haven't really come up with anything solid. Is there anywhere online I can go that has some images/pictures/video of what all I'm supposed to be looking at/doing? Banshee idles fine and revs fine this morning again, no sticking. Figuring perhaps water might have gotten in the carbs? Anyways, any help with the TORS would be great! I"ve searched the site as well, just haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!
