blaster2006 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 ok, i'm ordering jets, but don't wanna spend 50 bucks for maybeys'. i'm waiting on some fmf gold series (not fatties) temps between 80 and -20. trimmed & no lid. ported reed cages, and maybey +4 for now. i'm thinkin 27.5 270. 280. 290. 300. whatcha think? hmm, main jets are really cheap. i think about $2 each, im not great about knowing what jets, but i asked the same question, if i had piped + lid off, and said about a 280. just buy the pilot, surely a 27.5 would be great, and buy all the 4 jets you listed above im pretty sure its in that range. if this helps: on my blaster, when it was stock, a 220 main jet was perfect, golden spark plugs. got pipe, vf3 reeds, removed the snorkle of the airbox, and removed the 2 front screws, so the airbox is somewhat half open, and put some holes on top. from a 220 i went to a 250, and its perfect, i just need to change my pilot because i left the stock one. but if its 80 degrees, and your at sea level ( like i am) adding 4 or even 5 sizes with a lid off sounds good to me. thats just me if its easy to change jets, buy many main jets and go for the 27.5 pilot Quote
AKheathen Posted December 31, 2008 Author Report Posted December 31, 2008 my main concern is that the yamaha shop doesn't carry jets for banshee, and i'm ordering online, so i wanted to get close as i can for the temp right now (0 to -20) because i work 3 week hitches up north, and my time is too limited for multiple orders. my wish list was getting close to 100, and i can just buy more later, if i don't put different carbs on. rtcc Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 where are you buying them from? I always buy from jetrus.com if all I am ordering is jets. Quote

AKheathen Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 yea 310 should be a lil rich for your set up which isnt bad. i was thinkin they'd be fine 'till spring. tomorrow we have a high of 0* ferinheight, and my bike's tarpped with a heater to de-ice the carbs, killswitch, shocks, etc. i'm doin' the bottom end on the bonneville right now so, no garage space for toys  Quote
