BklynLOD Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 So I decided to change the bearings on my swingarm. I took off all the bolts and left the big main bolt for last. Took the nut off and tried to push it out and nothing. I started to lube it and again it didn't budge. I banged the shit outta it with a 3lb hammer and still nothing. I think it's rusted right onto the shaft. I can turn the bolt with no problem, but when i go to push it out it doesn't budge. What can I do??????? Quote
ellison445 Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Sawzaw and a new swingarm bolt!! Quote
BklynLOD Posted November 21, 2008 Author Report Posted November 21, 2008 Sawzaw and a new swingarm bolt!! I cant Get the swingarm off the frame. It's the pivot bolt. I"ll be seeing you for a new bolt. Quote
2001Stroker Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Sounds like it got a shoulder cut into it. You can either grab a BFH, or try what elllison said. I don't think a hammer is going to get you past that lip. Your best bet is probably going to be cutting it out. Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Move the suspension while you hit it, it will come out, hit that fucker hard... It helps to use an impact whole taking it out too... Quote
ellison445 Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 You have to cut the bolt from the inside of the swingarm, I did the same thing with mine.. Took all of 5 minutes!!! Verses the 3 hours of trying to beat that fucker out!! I cant Get the swingarm off the frame. It's the pivot bolt. I"ll be seeing you for a new bolt. Quote

I'm gonna let it soak in some kind of lube penetrant and ordered a bearing puller at work. Hope They don't give me a hard time coming out. I have to buy a bolt from you. I also need The vforce reeds cages. I have the money for them now so let me know. Quote
