steeler2169 Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 the shee is bogging at quarter throttle. Ive adjusted the air box screws not much improvement, the carbs are in sync. The prev. owner drilled holes in the air box lid, it still has org. filter. Could this be the prob. or do i need to jet? Everything is stock.PLZ help its bugging me Quote
dragbanshee98 Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 i would say that jetting would be the first solution that i would suggest. any time that you add more oxygen into the cylinders than the stock setup produces, it will throw off the proper mixture of air to fuel. before you try to change the jetting, check over anything else on the wheeler, from the connection between the cylinders and the manifold, to where the intake connects to the carbs... if nothing else seems to be wrong, then change the jetting some. Sometimes bikes come jetted wrong from the factory. I bet those holes didn't help either... Get some mods man!!! Quote
