mdhc500 Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) well im ordering all the parts to rbuild my motor. i got a cool head and new stator with adj. plate, what i need to know is whats the smallest cc dome i can run on 94 oct? and after that how much can i advance my timing? its a stock bore and stroke If your jugs are stock ported then elevation and an actual compression reading and how much you advance the timing would determine that. Here is a chart from NOSS machine. It's a guideline of sorts. .........Sea Level...1000' 2000' 3000' 4000' 5000' 18cc ....197..........178...171....170....165....145 19cc ....183..........167...160....158....152....137 20cc ....169..........156...149....146....140....129 21cc ....156..........145...138....134....128....121 stock ...130..........125...118....112....106....100 Anything above 150psi you should consider running 100+ octane or some blend of race fuel. So if you are 3000' you may want to look at some 20's. If you are at Sea Level then maybe some 21's... Hope this helps... Edited September 5, 2008 by mdhc500 Quote
