  1. I checked a couple different combinations in the forum search bar and couldn't find an up-to-date 4 mil w/ small carb threads, much less anything driveline related. To start, I'm planning an engine build pretty soon using the driveline 4 mil LP kit with SLP pipes. Current riding style is mostly open dirt pits, large trails, with some MX. My current setup is a heavily ported 392 with stock carbs and T5's. It's tuned fairly well but the heavy porting really kills the low end (not ideal for my riding style but it's the only running engine I have atm). At first I was planning a driveline 4 mil LP w/ SLP's and 35mm PWK's but I'm worried about the larger carb setup reducing the off idle responsiveness and being a handful in trails and Mx having 80+ hp (yea I know, too much HP, booooo). I figured with 28mm PWK's I could reach the 70's with and greatly improve the low-end over a 35mm carb setup but I wanted to get some feedback from guys who have actually tested similar setups. Besides that, any suggestions / changes I should make to my build given my riding style? I'm open to anything.
  2. Hey everyone! It has been a while, starting a company is a lot of work. I am back and need your expertise. Back in December I posted a thread called "How Do I Fix This?" Basically I accidentally got a stroker rod and my pistons are sticking out of the cylinder 5mm at top dead center. So a user told me to get Wiseco 795 series pistons and that will solve this problem. My next question is; do I need a spacer for this build? I read around a bit and I am getting mixed reviews. I really appreciate you guys and all of your help! I reply fast, so if you have any questions, ask away!

On my 04 Banshee (with a 7mm stroker) What would be the "safe zone" for rpm's (where I shouldn't go below or above), what would be the absolute max rpm's I could hit (safely and unsafely), and, at about what rpm's would I start and end powerband? Remember, it has a 7mm stroker kit. Thank you for your help.

  5. hey guys so I recently purchased an 02 banshee 392 cheetah cub 4 mil stroker. the guy I bought it from was kind of a knob and couldn't answer any of my questions. he had paperwork from vitos that the original owner gave him showing the 392 kit was bought along with some other stuff. it has a pro design coolhead with 22cc domes, some sort of aftermarket carbon fiber reeds, Toomey t6 pipes and silencers, k&n direct mount air filters with outerwears, vitos performance carb kit (whatever that includes) 340 main, 25 pilot, and some red needles that must be part of the carb kit. but on the paperwork I noticed it said the 392 kit was for a stock crankshaft. he said he had it rebuilt 8 months ago and the place that did it told him it was a 4 mil stroker. is there any easy way of finding out for sure if this is a stroker or just a big bore besides having to pull the cylinders off and measure a rod? I thought maybe I could pull the coolhead and see if it has stroker domes in it. if so what is the difference between regular domes and stroker domes? also I went trail riding with it last weekend it ran great but it was very dusty and towards the end of the day it started hesitating a little bit. I didn't think too much of it but it had me a little worried. well the next day it wouldn't start. I pulled off the air cleaners and the slides were loaded with dirt and gunk. I know the air filters were clamped on tight and I noticed the tors units on top of the carbs were loose and wobbling around. could this be where all my dirt came from? I pulled off the carbs and cleaned everything out, installed new float needles because one overflow was leaking since I got it, and made sure to tighten down the top caps so the tors were not loose anymore. well ever since I tightened them down it runs like crap wont idle and falls flat on its face if I try to ride it. I messed around with the adjustment on the tors and just ended up disconnecting all the electrical connections at the brain box and the thumb throttle and now it runs great??!!! I don't get it. so I ordered the tors eliminator kit that should be here this week so hopefully solves that problem. I also ordered a new chariot billet intake and billet reed cages and im wondering if I will need to change my jetting? seems like a pretty big main jet and kind of a small pilot??? any help is greatly appreciated as I used to own a built quadzilla and a big bore trx330r but im new to the twin screamers!!! thanks guys
  6. I've got a new banshee all stock with t5's. I wanna either get a big bore kit or stroker kit(can't afford both). Which will work with stock carbs better. Which one should I get for drag, I've already got heavy clutch setup on the way and I'm still deciding what length swingarm to get. Give me some recommendations. And is there a way that I could get a stroker kit then later get a big bore with out complications and vice versa with big bore then stroker.
